off topic question : only web based readers ?

Hi,

This is completely off topic for electronics,
but i was wondering if i can access this group without using the
google web-based system.
What software would i use ?
I guess i can use outlook express, but what do i add as the NNTP
server etc ?
Or is there a better client to use ?

Most folks use software called a newsreader
and Outbreak Express is probably the poorest one.

sci.electronics is not really a valid newsgroup.
The powers that be would like it to die
in favor of other groups below that top level
(sci.electronics.basics, sci.electronics.misc, sci.electronics.repair,
etc.);
most news servers no longer carry it.
Google may be the only way for you to access that particular group.

Your ISP's home page should lead you to the proper NNTP data.
If not, contact them.
