I have been looking at more "unusual" speaker designs. In particular, ones
that I have removed from broken down Magnavox consoles (1960's I assume)
actually have a pattern of triangles stamped into the frame. Some other
similar ones had an array of small circles. It looks as though this keeps
the basket rigid while allowing for airflow throughout the interior of the
cabinet.
I guess I'm not really asking anything here, but I figured I'd share my
findings.
