Novice circuit design/construction

Hi all,
Looking for a bit of beginners advice.
I've an old torch that ive decided to rip apart and rejuvenate.
So I've ended up with 4× 3.7v-50A (pulse)/ 35A (cont) batteries
That will hopefully feed an led that runs a max of 12v- 2.4A.
Obviously I will need to bring both voltage and amperage down, unfortunately Im far more mechanically trained and have absolutely no idea on how to work out how to do that.
I'm hoping someone here could provide me some guidance?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tony.

You will need an LED driver matching the capabilities/(requirements of the LED you're going to use.
An LED driver will provide constant current to the LED - you cannot reliably drive an LED with a constant voltage source. In this respect LEDs are completely different from incandescent lamps..
