I'm currently working on a project to build an machine that uses Impact
Sensors to register the user's force of impact and convert the incoming
analog data into an electronic format for storage and data
calculations. The system will be able to run a number of
pre-programmed routines that control multiple analog outputs (LEDs,
Sound Components, Etc) and output statistical reports of a user's use
during their session.
The problem is that I have no electronics training and am quite lost
when it comes to even the most trivial of tasks. I've been hounding my
friends and family trying to find someone who knows someone who is
competent in the inner workings of component electronics.
I am hoping to find someone here that will be able to help me with this
project. As I'm funding this project from proceeds from my full time
job, I don't have the financial ability to hire someone to build the
components for me. I'm looking for someone who likes a challenge, is
capable of creating a system as described briefly below and is
interested in working on a startup project.
The system would encompass the following (excerpts taken from a
friend):
- Hook up force sensors of a "variable resistance type"
- Use chipsets to collect data and send it to a computer
- Use software to interpret incoming data and run pre-programmed
routines
- Control lights and sound devices based on those pre-programmed
routines
- Control lights and sound devices based on input from the sensors
- Return user data describing timing, force used and statistical data
- ...as well as a laundry list of items planned for Phase II, III,
IV, V etc.
If this sounds like a project you're interested in, please feel free to
contact me. I live in upstate NY and proximity is a plus, but not
required.
Thanks,
- Jace
