need RFID advice

L

Luke Rex

Hello,

I am a student at Penn State University doing a senior design on RFID
systems. I need as much advice as I can get about RFID. I need to
purchase a developers kit to run tests and experiment with but I am on
a limited budget and need a low cost RFID developer/evaluation kit. I
was also wondering if there are companies that offer educational
discounts on these kits. I am new to this technology, so any
information about how to obtain a low cost kit or any information at
all will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Luke Rex

What are you looking to doo?

I think If you are limited to a demo kit that is of the order of $100
then you are stuch with a 13.56 MHz or 125 kHz system.

If you can go 1K then a 900 Mhz demo kit can be had.

Sure, glad to help you out, which way did you come in?

Why don't you get lost?

What a lame-ass post!

I think he meant the airport shuttle - gotta get out of town quick,
preferably without being identified.

I've been peripherally involved with some RFID procurements in the
past two years, and let me tell you, Mr. Simon's level of knowledge is
quite typical of most customers *and* vendors. Not since the dot-com
losers have I seen any industry so incredibly wrapped up entirely in
buzzwords and with no clue as to business needs.

Tim.
