need help with sony/dell d1626ht monitor

Hi,

I got this monitor 2nd hand. It is not very bright. I've tried all of the
controls on the front. I have not opened the unit. I did download the
schematic. It seems everything is controlled by a computer. Is there
software that is needed to adjust this monitor? What's it called? Where
would I get it?

It is called Sony's DAS (digital alignment software) and various models
need a specific interface as well. If you are an authorized Sony Monitor
servicer, you can buy the interface and software. It is not worth buying
the software or interface unless you plan on repairing 10 or more of the
same model.
