Hello.
I have a Uniden T4 PowerMax 2.4 Ghz Digital Telephone that works really
great. The reception is great, the quality of sound is great, etc.
But, I would like to know if there is a product that I can buy or possibly
modify this phone so that it could work with a range of about 2 miles.
Reason: I am trying to get my office phone to reach my shop (which is less
than 2 miles the way the crow flies) and the shop does not have anything
other than power. My thought was to try and make the receiver
transmit/receive if possible, without too much of an expense. Many people
have said to go cellular, which I have nextel...but I would like to be able
to answer the office phone and make out local calls from the line, instead
of using my mobile.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or steer me in the direction needed for
more information. I realize the FCC does limit the range, but I figured 2
miles was about as far as I could go...much like the walkie talkies
available without getting licensed.
Thanks in advance. Could you please post here...or respond to my email!
