Need help on ZX spectrum computer

I have ZX Spectrum Computer but the ULA5C112E is faulty and there are no more parts has any one no what I can do to replace or by pass this IC
if I can not fix this computer the best thing is to put it in the rubbish bin.

These articles suggest ULA6C001 is a drop in replacement used on later series of the computer... Please verify this yourself, I just did a quick once over...

It appear this newer chip is a little easier to get, there is even one on Ebay in the UK...

If you don't want to fix it may I suggest you contact some collectors and at least offer it up to them for parts vs just tossing it...
