need a super simple 5Mhz generator schematic.

The title is pretty self explanatory. I need a schematic that would be
easy for someone with some experience in electronics could make for an
invention I have in mind. Squre sine or triangle waves are all fine as
long as the have a positive and negetive cycle, (no dc pulse
generators) if any body has a good link or schematic please respond.

How about a 5-MHz oscillator module such as would be used for clocking a
microprocessor? Simple, cheap, and it's one component. The output is a
square wave from 0 to +5V. (The power supply is 5 volts DC.)

To convert this into a wave that goes positive and negative, simply couple
it through a capacitor.

What does the output go to?

a low powerr induction coil

Make sure the oscillator has enough power to drive that and that it
likes this kind of inductive load.

How many volts into how many ohms? Learn to specify your requirements
fully. After the basic output requirements, next comes frequency
accuracy and stability. Can it be 5.3 MHz, say? Does it have to stay at
whatever frequency within 0.1%, 1% or 10% for short periods, or long
periods?
