Near field Vs Far field

I am newbie to RFID. I am little confused with near field and far field techniques and antenna coupling at LF/HF and microwave. Pls explain me.

have you tried Wikipedia? I just read their RFID stuff and now I feel informed.

I read it in wikipedia. But I need info regarding near and far field. Though gained knowledge regarding MAXWELL equations, its confusing.
