Mystery Component

I have a component from a printed circuit board attached to a small electric motor. The circuit board contains only two items, a Bridget rectifier designated KPPC1 -- 10 which I believe is an output of 3 amps than 1000 V. The other component has two wires going to the circuit board and is about 1.5 cm long by 1.2 cm high and.5 cm wide, the markings on this components are 104K and 630V. Could somebody advise what this component might be and where I could obtain a replacement.
Many thanks,
Dougvv.

Can you post a pic of it?

It's probably a capacitor. 104K means 0.1uF or 100nF, K = 10% tolerance, and a 630V max voltage.

0.1 µF capacitor with a working voltage of 630V (DC).

Probably for some sort of electrical noise suppression.
