My PS3 to Home theatre system questions

I Just bought the sony bravia 589w home theatre system and wanted to know if anyone knew how to hook up my ps3 with hdmi video and surround sound through my receiver with only 1 hdmi output on the receiver

How many HDMI inputs do you have on the receiver?

As far as I'm aware, you can go straight from the PS3 > Home Theater > TV using HDMI cables? Having 1 HDMI output would be the one that goes to your TV.

Otherwise, you can use an optical audio cable to the Home Theater.

yeah, was messing around with it and i realize if i just get two hdmi cables and plug one from the ps3 to the tv and one from the reciever to the tv. I would just have to change the input on the tv depending on what i want to watch or do. Only problem i have is i will have to switch the optical audio cable from the tv to the ps3 everytime i switch between the two :/ bc there is only one input on the tv and 1 output on the ps3 for the optical cable. Unless u know of any other way?

Any chance you can take a photo of the back of the receiver and TV so I can see the connections? You might be able to connect it differently depending on the layout.
