multisim convergence assistant

So I'm trying to build this basic cct to regulate 12VDC, I just wanted to add an ammeter to see how much current I'm drawing but I keep getting this confounded assistant that rarely fixes the problem. I'm pretty sure it's the ammeter that is causing the problem but why, is it just that im using one or is it where I placed it that's causing the problem? **cct attached**

If 'U2' is your ammeter, you're shorting your Voltage Regulator to ground.

The one on the right "U2" is my voltmeter, the one right after my regulator "U3" is my ammeter

I do not know anything about Multisim.

C2 delays the feedback and could put the circuit into oscillation. Try removing it or putting it across R2
