MT3608 boost converter not working

I got a pair of MT3608 boost converters a while back and I decided to give them a test to see if they can work.

I initially tied the positive and negative wires of a 9v snap connector and tested my 9v with my multimeter (finally figured out how to correctly use that!) and it showed the regular voltage. But when I tried to adjust the screw on the size to increase the output, nothing happened. I looked up the videos online of people using these and I don't see what I am doing wrong. Turning the screw in any direction does nothing.

I will show the pictures of how the module is wired up.

and it showed the regular voltage.

Not a typical measurement on any meter I've used (regular).

Give some detail, do you have any load connected..?
You do realise it will only give an output above the level you supply..

Your first link doesn't work.
What are you trying to achieve?

Nevermind. I figured out what I did wrong. I need to turn the screw to adjust the output before attaching the battery. I fixed it. I can get a full range of voltages.

Should have paid more attention to the video.

Actually you are right. I don't know what happened exactly. But either way it now works like it should so I am not worried.
