Hi all,
I am after some help with regards to wiring some LED lights to my passive speakers. I used to have a pair of Skytec Speakers which had this feature installed however after they had been replaced several times I gave up on them.
The link below shows these speakers in action and the LEDs are powered through the passive speakers via the Amp/Mixer desk I have also included a link for this below.
Old Speakers

I know that the LEDs in the old speakers where powered by by the current being supplied from the amp to the speakers as no other power source was used and I would like to use the same feature on the new speakers. However I am sure that you are not able to just wire them directly to the speaker cables without going through some sort of resistor / electrical circuit. Would any of you have a wiring diagram that could help me with this mod? or advise what I should use and how they should be wired so that I can get the same sort of effect as the old speaker video.
Your help with this would be very much appreciated.
