MISSING POWER SUPPLY FOR LCD STRIP LIGHT

Hi i have a LCD aquarium strip light but I have lost the power supply and remote. Does anyone know what the connector is called and possibly where I could get a power supply from? I have attached a photo of the light and the power connector.

More than likely a proprietary item.
As you don't have the power supply as well, probably try to trace parts from any detail on the lamp.
Chances are there are more than 2 supply voltages there and maybe even 1 control.

The only name we could attach to that connector would be a 4-pin plug (or socket) and searching using that term would give thousands of results!

Since you don't have the original power supply you may as well cut the 'strange' plug off and fit one that can be readily sourced. You should cut the plug off anyway to determine how the connections are made.

Do you know anything about the light at all i.e. how many colours? are there different light levels? etc. Is there any identifying details on the light itself? You might find the OEM and see if they have spares.

It looks a lot like plugs found on the rear of marine equipment, the likes of GPS and plotters.... and THEY were all exclusive to the manufacturer....

After a (good) few years some appeared as after-market connectors but would invalidate the warranty if used on OEM equipment.
