Missing Battery - adapting replacement

Hello, thanks for having this awaesome forum.

What do you all think about using a 7.4vdc nikon battery pack to power this old robotic programming toy (2017)?

They no longer make the toy or the replacement battery.

Is there a way to adapt the contacts on the battery to the male receptacle on the toy?

Not as easy as you may think. The toy has 4 contacts, the battery has 3. So one will have to find how to connnect these, if possible at all. Impossible to say without having a clear definition of the 4 pins' function (be it a document or a schematic).

It is possible with a little investigation.
But it depends if you keep it simple and charge the Nikon battery externally on its original charger.
Or modify the toy with an appropriate DC jack that can connect to the Nikon charger.
Alternatively, you could crack open the toys battery and replace the cells.
I’d try replacing the cells first.

If it doesn’t need to be battery operated , connect a DC adapter directly.
