Metal detector

Hi guys.

I want to buy a cheap and best metal detector.

It should give beep sound on detecting metals within a range of 2 feet area.

I am not an expert in electronics. Please help me out with the name make and model details of Metal detectors.

What do you expect to detect at a 2 Foot Distance, A Large Object or a Small Coin?
And What do you call as CHEAP or as a Reasonable Price? $1.00, $100.00 or $1000.00?

Also do your Require Discrimination, so to tell you the Type of Metal being Detected?
Or No Discrimination, so just an All metal Detection.
