Hello. I have a Matsui LM32HD1 tv.
It turns on fine then after a few minutes it switches itself off. I kind of goes to standby but the light next to the on button doesn't change (stays green) and it will only turn back on using the button on the front of the set. Also turning off and on at the mains will take it back to standby with the correct light on (red I think, I am colour blind) and then it will turn on.
Again after a few minutes, some times more some times less it will turn itself off.
When it works, it works fine responding to the remote, etc.
Is there anything I can do or check?
I have opened it up to have a quick visual check of and capacitors or resistors (sorry Im a fool when it comes to these things) But they all look fine with no domed tops or any real signs of damage. This is only my very un-expert assessment tho.
I can buy a psu or main board for it from eBay but I dont really want to spend £30 each on them to find it doesn't make a difference.
If you recon its likely to be one or the other I will go for it.
I have a feeling it may be turning itself off to protect further damage and therefore fault finding might be tricky.
I have a very limited amount of experience when it comes to using a meter, but I am happy to have a go if the directions are well explained.
I can also make a video of it in action if it helps.
Any help would be amazing.
Thank you for reading and any possible replies and help
Ed
