Magnavox RH8524 Deflection board smoking

Hi,

Fixed the problem on the convergence board and now I've got another problem.
I was watching a movie the other night and left the room, when I came back,
the TV screen was blank and I could smell smoke. Power light was still on.
I noticed that C44 on the deflection board was burned. I've never known a
capacitor to smoke. Looks pretty much like a disc capacitor. No other
components appear bad or burned.

I humbly ask for assistance...

High voltage and horizontal sweep waveform is hard on
these, and I see one burn up now and then. Replace with
correct value, probably 470pF or 1000pF 2KV depending on
which version you have of deflection board, then see if
it took out anything else. You might want to check 130V
supply, if it runs away it drives other stuff high.

Thanks... Transistor tests ok and diode is fine so I'm off to try to locate
one of these at the electronics supply store. I have a feeling the Rat
Shack won't carry them. The schematics shows .001uf 2kv and the markings
are still visible on the cap so I should be able to find a match.

Puzzled...

Cap is 680pf 2kv and board revision doesn't match my service manual. Will
replace with same part from Mouser...
