Looking for book "Rechargeable Batteries Applications Handbook" by Gates

I know it's available on Amazon, but if someone has a copy to give away to a
truly interested student of battery applications...

Thanks,

Please, no Google links. I wouldn't ask a
question here if I hadn't done that already.

Thanks,
Check out the free on-line book at http://www.buchmann.ca
If you are into paper books, consider "Handbook of batteries" by Linden,
maybe it is more accessible in your library.

Quite an interesting book, although the internal resistance was measured
in milliwatts. Can anyone explain that. I can see that plain old Ohms
isn't suitable, since that depends on the number of cells in the battery
and the size of the cells as well.

Are you sure that it isn't yet another case of the ohms sign being
rendered as upper-case W by publishing software?

Ah, it could well be.

Of course, comparing resistance is non-trivial, since the cells are not
directly comparable. At least one would need Ohms per unloaded volt, so
that one could estimate the internal resistance of a battery supplying a
certain voltage, whatever the cell type. That still doesn't take in to
account cell "size".
