Looking for a graphical see-through style LCD

Hi folks,

I have been looking for a graphical see-through style LCD involved in
my final year project of bachelor degree. I have been searching for a
while yet haven't got any interesting info. although I did find some
so called see-through LCD clocks which display Arabic numerals.

Is there anyone knows where I can find a dot-matrix LCD which is as
clear as glasses? Thanks.

How big? What resolution? How many colors? Just buy a panel and take
off the backlight.

I need a small one around 2 to 4 inch. Resoution at least 320*240 and
should be with RGB color.

I did try the way you mentioned, but it just didn't work well. The
light seems be cut off half lumination after it shining through the
raw LCD.

Have you ever seem the automatic darken Welding Mask? I think I am
aftering that kind of LCD used, but I really don't know where I can
buy that .

Texas Instruments makes an adapter so that their graphing calculators
can have their output displayed on an overhead projector (They're
called TI View Screens)... I assume you're trying to make something of
the sort. Anyways - used to be that they manufactured an LCD exactly
like what you're talking about in-house. I don't know if they sub it
out now or not... but I know that you could probably call TI's
calculator engineering department and ask for a schematic, which will
list the part number for the LCD you're seeking.

Hope this helps,
