Hey everyone I'm looking for a cheap standalone bluetooth module, just something that when my phone get near it and connects the module should output a small HIGH signal so that I can activate a small transistor. I have no clue what kind of module I need for this so some help would really help.
I have found this module HC-05 bluetooth, it has a STATE pin that goes HIGH when BT is paired (usually for an LED light) but would this module work if I just connect power to it? Would I be able to connect my phone to it without having the TX and RX connected to anything?
