Looking for a book on electrostatic generation

Hello, while living in Prince George BC I found a book on generation
electrostatic voltages using water dropping through a ring, he also
had a generator or different types called something like duroid.

I'd like to find that book again and was hoping someone on a forum
like this might know of this book, its at least 40 years ago that I first
saw it (yes I'm pretty old now .
