Loewe Q2400 chassis pincushion

Hello everyone,

Ive got a loewe q2440 chassis (arcada 8772zp) with a pincushion
problem.
Unit initially brought in dead - replaced C554 900nF, R540
47Ohm...now powers up Ok.

cant adjust the pincushion from the service menu (ie: i can get into
the service menu, but the ew control has absolutely no effect)

I dont have access to a schematic, so i was wondering if someone could
maybe point me in the right direction....

I ve replaced a few suspect electros in around the FBT with no effect

common problem????

thanks

Yes I think I've got a winner for you buddy!
There is a 1 ohm resistor undernath the E/W coil.
You won't see it until you unsolder the coil.
It will be black.I don't know why it turned black because my unit was
woeked on previously and the technician gave up.
Anyway, after replacing the resistor, the unit worked fine.
Good luck Bro.

Thanks for the reply Mo your input was very appreciated.Oh no worries
Huddo appreciate the acknowledgement.

So if you need help people, stop grabbing and then pissing off without
the courtesy of acknowledging.
Or don't bother asking or next time there might not be any help
forthcoming!

Replacing 1 Ohm resistor as suggested by Mo, worked a treat!!!

Mo..you DA MAN!!!!
thanks for that

for those interested ew coil pcb ID = L590

the resistor's pcb ID= B590 (not R590) : i used a 1 Ohm fusible as replacement

cheers
