LEDS in parallel circuit help

Hi For a school based tech project I need to wire 17 x 3mm colour changing leds (from rapid electronics) together in parallel.

I want to power the circuit with a plug type psu.

I intend to simply wire the legs together via fly leads, unless there is a more efficient way - i am making my own fairly lights, sort of thing.

What voltage PSU can you recommend, I am thinking 9V?

Will I need a resistor to protect the leds? If so, what size and will I need one for each led?

THANKS

c.

The LEDs you have are not ordinary LEDs as shown by Sundy. They operate the built-in circuit from typically 4.5V or 5V max. They say if the power supply is more than 5V then a series current-limiting resistor is needed to limit the current to 20mA.
