Laser specifications help

So I got a ultra violet laser out of an Xbox 360 disk drive. And wanted to make it into a burning laser pointer but I'm not sure how much power it needs and what the middle pin is for. So if anyone has any information that would be awesome.

Could you elaborate on exactly what "a burning laser pointer" is and what you intend to do with it?
