large dracast blew itself out and started to smell like burnt plastic- can it be salvaged?

I don't know if it was something I did or not, but about 5 minutes after I turned it on, it began to flicker for a while and then just turned off. The room started to smell like burning plastic and it was nearly suffocating but can it be salvaged, or is it done for?

It was also hooked up to an extension cord; though I'm not sure if that was the issue or not.

I googled "dracast" and it seems to be a light.

Sounds as if something got hot. Any obvious sign of something melting or burning.
Will depend on the amount of damage.

Got a service man you like to use? He/she can likely take a look at it for you and let you know.

Wich dracast light is it?
When it is a led light, it will need space for cooling.
