Maybe. Until all the seats are declared I would not be so sure.

In any case, we will not know until the first no confidence vote call
which can not happen until parliament resumes in November.

Just for a very short time
it will be impossible for them to govern

So, when given the toss of the ball, will Tony be wise or silly?

I was sort of disappointed with the way Tony Windsor based his decision
finally on the NBN . .

Does that mean every farmer in his electorate will be visited by a thin
blue fibre optic cable?

On the otherhand, it's better for the Libs to wait, as IMO Julia has got
the poisoned chalice.
Silly bloody thing to base the decision on
although they were correct if the libs had taken this decision a few
months and they would go for gold
now its a matter when labouring grabs failure with both hands

Let's hope the independents do what Don Chipp's DemoBastards failed to
do.

More fool you, none will change now unless there is another legal challenge that affects the result and thats unlikely.
In any case, we will not know until the first no confidence vote
call which can not happen until parliament resumes in November.

There's unlikely to be one soon, because the 'independants' have a problem funding a new election.

Its more likely to come unstuck with something like one of the current members ending up dead etc.

Don't count your megabits yet, I doubt it will ever get finished.
The NBN will also be back on the agenda at the next election.
By the time Australia Jumps to Fibre everywhere, the rest of the
world will be using sub-space relays.

Will she or will she not have them all out walking and doing a circuit of
the lake before breakfast to try and stave that off.

Then again, they might win the bye election.

Let's hope the independents do what Don Chipp's DemoBastards failed to
do.

Don Chipp only came up with "keep the bastards honest" after having a
dummy split and leaving his own party, just like 3/4 independents.

unlikely. Could just be an affordable sat link,

Thats there right now.
or even more/higher wireless towers for a wireless connection.

Higher doesnt help.

And Windsor doesnt even want fibre to every rural hamlet, let alone every farmer anyway.

The vast bulk of them already have decent broadband available via NextG right now.

The only thing that isnt any good for is avoiding driving
to the DVD rental place because of the volume charges.
Its fine for everything else and can be significantly cheaper
than DSL too, essentially because there isnt a fixed monthly
charge if you dont want that.
Not a lot of evidence of the ability all round to adapt their mindset,

Thats just plain silly, most obviously with what Gillard did with the ETS post Copenhagen.
so quite possibly. OTOH, if Tony just plays the
obstructionist hand and brings them down,

Not even possible now that Windsor and Oakshot have sold out.
he could just as likely cause his own downfall from a P'd off electorate.

How odd that we didnt see that result when Mal gave Whitless the bums rush that way.

The stock market went south within minutes
and interst rates are going North within months according
to ICAP economist Adam Carr.

http://mozo.com.au/reserve-bank/art...at-4-5-for-fourth-consecutive-month/800055903

Each rate rise adds $50/week to the average mortgage. These rate rises
are due to inflation caused by Rudd and Gillard Labor spending and
borrowing massive amounts of money.

The annualised M3 expansion ballooned from around 11-12% under Howard
(already high) to 25% under Rudd. This ultimately fuels inflation and
interest rate rises.

The expanding money supply is also a crude form of capital theft. Only 3
years of 25% expansion and the value of our savings will be halved.

Labor thieves don't even bother using the tax system anymore.

The $43 *billion* NBN is not only going to cost us $2000 per person but
it will hit us through interest rates as well.

And being a Labor initiative it will take twice as long and cost twice
as much.

The way you worded that, sounds like you are predicting someone might wind up dead through reasons other than natural
causes.

Nar it wasnt meant that way. I just realise that we have had
quite a few pollys die in office, like that fools that shagged
himself to death quite literally or just resign due to ill health etc.

We've seen a few attempted suicides too.

We've also seen quite a few just give up on politics too,
tho presumably they'd be more reluctant to do that with
the numbers so tight.
Any predictions on what seats may require a by-election?

Its impossible to predict who will die of natural causes.

Even the ones that get plenty of excercise etc and drop dead pretty spectacularly.
Lyne and/or New England perhaps?

I'm hopeless at predicting who might die of cancer or a heart attack etc.

I didnt predict either of the most recent suicide attempts either.
