The stock market went south within minutes

To be expected. Labour is always bad for business.
and interst rates are going North within months according
to ICAP economist Adam Carr.

Of course. Excessive government spending (a Labour 'initiative') always drives
up inflation and hence interest rates.

In any case, Speedy boi, how do Howard's sins justify Rudd/Gillards spending?

Never said it did. I JUST rubbed your stupid pig ignorant nose in the FACT
that we saw a whole series of rate rises under Howard when that particular
govt wasnt borrowing a cent. so your claim at the top about what causes
rate rises has blown up in your face and covered you with black stuff, again.
Not that it's relevant anyway.

Corse its relevant to that stupid pig ignorant claim of yours now right at the top.

That is a no brainer call based on the fact that she looses
a no confidence motion when parliament first resumes (Nov).

Nope, not when its not in the independant's interests to have an election then.

Windsor has already said that one of the reasons he went for Labor was
because he believed that the coalition was going to go for another election
as soon as it looked like they could win it.

Positions of great power like tend to attract pedos, sociopaths &
sicko's of all types
in much the same way as flies are attracted to a turd.
In many cases these people with dirt on their hands would be preferred
as they are compromised,
can either be allowed access to their perversion with small risk of
prosecution in return for favours, (votes)
or alternately manipulated / blackmailed by those with the big $$.

In many cases, anyone who knew of someone on the other side doing
these sort of things wouldn't be able to say anything,
because it would very likely expose just as many or more on their side
or even themselves.

That last is mad. Doesnt explain how arseholes like Orkopoulos got caught.

The only thing certain in Politics, is that nothing is certain.

When is Comes To: putting your John Hancock on a piece of paper to
sign off billions of Bucks, some will undoubtedly change they mind.

and Katter has said that he values stability and might just support the
government if needed to provide that. Note, supporting the government in
frivolous non-confidence and supply votes does not amount to carte-
blanche on policies. It just means they can not do a Kevin "Take it or
leave it" Rudd approach and will need to consult first and genuinely
compromise.

Umm, isn't that also part of the problem for the coalition? They were
percieved as too ready to do that, offer billions of dollars that they
could not show they had or could obtain.

The only billions that has been mentioned was for regional(all country
areas), not just three independents.

Only for businesss run by herd followers.

It is being driven by consumer spending.

Plenty is ALWAYS certain, even in politics.

We will ALWAYS have another election sometime.

That will ALWAYS produce a change of govt sometime, even if that takes decades.

In the first world, we will NEVER see the govt that loses refuse to leave govt and
just make an obscene gesture at the winner when the result is very unambiguous.

Separate matter entirely to that stupid claim of yours just above.

Yep, its hardly ever in an independant's interest to have an early
election, because they have much more difficulty funding an election
campaign than candidates from the main partys do, and independants
that have been around for a while have enough of a clue to notice that,
even fools as stupid as that fool Katter.
Note, supporting the government in frivolous non-confidence
and supply votes does not amount to carte- blanche on policies.

Corse it doesnt, particularly with loons with such stupid ideas as Katter has.
It just means they can not do a Kevin "Take it or leave it" Rudd
approach and will need to consult first and genuinely compromise.

And thats what they have clearly been doing when attempting to be the minority govt.
Umm, isn't that also part of the problem for the coalition?
Nope.

They were percieved as too ready to do that, offer billions

I never bought that line. That fool Wilke was never going to go for the
coalition. He was always looking for any excuse to go with Labor instead.
The only billions that has been mentioned was for
regional(all country areas), not just three independents.

But was TEN times the billion Wilke made such a fool of himself about.

Like hell it did.

To be accurate; when I heard the anouncement I checked my portfolio
and as I follow mostly miners/exploration/resources, they had taken a hit
that nearly brought a tear to the eye.

So it seemed to me that it went south in minutes
And it remains to be seen if he does any better than that other fool
Steve Keen did on property prices.

Employment uptake figures out yesterday doesn't look good for interest
rates.

You're too prone to bursting into tears.

It didnt.

We'll see... There is no automatic relation between employment and interest rates.
