Perhaps the motor was overloaded when the slide got stuck. If your lucky theres a fuse that can be replaced.
Trouble shooting guide (see attached)says to check tray position.
The nylon gears used in that line of projectors are prone to embrittlement and breakage due to material incompatibility with the grease used to lubricate them. One symptom of breakage is inability to advance or reverse the tray position. This may or may not be the cause of failure in your case.
You can replace the grease with a nylon compatible type such as Superlube Silicone Lubricating Grease (teflon filled silicone grease), product 92003, to prevent further damage.
