JVC AV 32730 Problem

HELP! I'm not a big electronics mechanic, so I need some help here...
My JVC 32" TV is only showing a thin, horizontal "picture" line instea
of its full picture. Everything else works fine. If I "tap" it in an
way, the picture will try to come up, but doesn't stay. Seems lik
something is loose. Checked everything inside, but couldn't find an
loose connections. Did manage to shock the heck out of myself whil
checking the cord going into the tube! Told you I didn't know anythin
about this stuff.

Any help ANYONE could give would be gret!!

Thanks

The very best advise to to take the tv into someone who is trained on
fixing it.
The most important training anyone has who works on electronics is
safety, which is something you do not have given the lack of knowledge
of what is inside the tv set.

There's no vertical drive. I can't see how that helps you much if you don't
have the tools and the information to fix it.

that is very good advice. you have a fault in the vertical section,
possibly a dry jointy or cracked trace. Not too serious, but without
the experience you may mess it up.
