International Video Standards

Hi [I posted before but it seems to have not shown up]


I need to find a video camera that will work in both England and South
Africa. I know the British standards:
240v ac 50Hz 625 line PAL on UHF channels 21-69
but I have no idea of the SA standard(s) in use.

Do you know what they are, or where I would find them?

Unfortunately, the only information available is that it is PAL

Should tell you all you need to know.

I short, South Africa uses PAL I, Channels 4-14 and 21-69. It looks to
me like any ordinary PAL video camera purchased in the UK ought to
work in SA, but I'm not a globetrotting AV tech so I may be talking
out of my bottom.
