Sam

Hi All,
I have a FDX5301B television that suffers from a blanking problem when
watching some dvd's in progressive scan mode.

Hitachi has a service bulletin for this and i'm trying to find out the
details so I can fix the tv.

Here's the info on the parts and the bulletin #

(It is recommended to pull the Hitachi bulletin # out and it should have all
the info you will need):

Hitachi Bulletin: PTV0017
Hitachi Part #: 0893031
Description: Ceramic Chip Cap 1000pf 50 volt

Can anyone send me this bulletin or post the information or tell me where to
find it?

thanks,
sams

been there, tried it. hitachi doesn't give out this information to the
customer just to the
service centers so they can charge you min $180 in labor to solder 2 0805
caps into a circuit board and charge you $20 for the caps. i have
some sketchy details about this bulletin but not the details.

any more info?

You might try sci.electronics.repair . That's where the consumer electronics
guys hang out.
