I acquired a monitor from microexchange on auction at ebay. The
monitor was listed as iiyama S102GT 21" monitor. Instead I received a
Dell P1110 monitor. Are these
the same monitors? The name dell was never mentioned in the ad. Here
are some problems regarding this monitor:
Physical Condition:
1) creack on the left top corner.
2) crack behind the left top conrer along the glass plate.
3) power switch jammed.
Performace issues:
1) there is a slight pink tinge to the color. not pure white.
2) the monior display at the bottom is blank by more than
quarter inch above the baseline. Yes expanding the display
should fill out the bottom part. But instead the upper area
streches beyond the screen frame, but at the bottom it remains
above the lower edges.
4) the picture is tilted slightly by perhaps by 1.5 degrees.
Other than that, the picture quality is excellent. It is a very sharp
monitor.
Using the AIDA system information about this monitor I get the
following.
Monitor Properties
Monitor Name Dell P1110

If the iiyama monitor is OEM for Dell P1110 then the dealer has
been truthful, otherwise I have a right to return it. Can someone
tell me more about this monitor and what would be best course of
action.
Thanks,
PP..
