Identifying connector (power?)

Hi uh, been fiddling around with an old blade server. See if I can connect it up to run outside the chassis which I don't have. Just an experiment.

So I was wondering if this connector, which I assume receives power from the chassis, is something available off the shelves. Or if it's particularly customized for the blade & chassis connection.

Any idea? Thanks.

P.S. Blade is Dell M600, chassis is Dell M1000e, if it helps.

hi
welcome to the forums :)

haven't seen one of those before .... hopefully some one else can help

Knowing DELL it will be an in-house product and rarer than hen's teeth.

The only reasonable source for one would be a redundant cabinet the blade came from.

Oh. Does this happen to most Dell's products? What about HP? I do also happen to have a HP ProLiant blade lying around as well... haha.

Not easy to determine - many manufacturers re-badge their equipment for other distributors so there is sometimes cross-platform parts equivalence.
Even if the connector were to be available after-market you can bet your life it would be at a cost you wouldn't want to pay!
If you can't get the original housing but you want to still use the blade then hard wire the power connections.
