Identifying a cracked component

Hi, tried this in s.e.r but didn't have much luck.

Just wondering if anyone could take a shot at identifying this:

http://i19.tinypic.com/2ljmaz5.jpg

A couple of the legs are missing and the colour has been changed to
try and highlight the numbers.

It's a TO-92 (or very close) type package and came from a Q-Tec 650W
Triple Fan 24P ATX PSU, item no 14348. The silkscreen has it
identified as
Q4, so maybe transistor or related? Both this and the internal fuse
blew due to a short I accidentally created. All I can read is C. 44
and 447. Maybe someone could
take a guess at what I think is a manufacturers logo at the top?

Many thanks

Have you checked the other transistors on the pcb? Usually, a designer
uses the same type of component on the same board, so you maybe lucky
and there is an identical one right there.

Thank you for the suggestion - I tried looking at the others, none
matching unfortunately.

Can you establish which part of the circuitry it's associated with ?

On real thin guesswork, maybe its a 2N5144.
A 2N2222 is similar.
