I wish to sound a buzzer continuously from the output of a sensor, how do I lock its output? The buzzer will stop as soon as the sensor changes its output, but I wish to lock its output, so that it keeps on ringing. How can I achieve this using flip-flops or any other thing?

Can you post a schematic for the current buzzer circuit? What voltage? I've used an SCR before, as jim' suggested.

Another option is a relay set to be latching. However the SCR option is probably better unless the buzzer runs from AC.
