A friend and I recently acquired the entire leftover electronics stock of a local manufacturing plant. Most components are still on their reels or sealed in other packaging. There are about 100,000 components total, and I will be selling almost all of them (I can only keep so many parts around!). I will sell any quantity but as you buy more the price per part goes down. I'm open to reasonable offers. I will include a list of a handful of the parts I have, and add more as I finish sorting everything out. I will list prices for several quantities, however if you want a quantity not listed that's fine (as long as I have enough of course). Buyer pays shipping, and chooses shipping method. Good luck with the sales, but wanted to give you my input on your prices.
I know the manufacturer cost is high, but there are a lot of surface mount reels out there after product run liquidation.
A friend of mine buys liquidation lots and tried selling surface mount reels for $10 each on ebay with not much luck.
You're not going to want to hear this, but when I want some, I usually pay $5 or less a reel.
I don't want to discourage you, but thought I'd give you a head's up on the fact that your competition is pretty tough in surplus parts.
What my friend gets tired storing, he sells to the Chinese for $1 a pound.
