Yes I know xenon works by discharge but I want to control the intensity of xenon light source so that I can use in endoscopic application

Usual to use LED....wouldn't like a high voltage xenon shoved up my date, that's for sure.

Xenon lamps use a current-limited or constant-current source.
Adding an adjustable limit to that source may do what you want.
