How to give clipping and clamping

We have been working on a signal generator which is implemented using a ad9850 module. We need to include clipping and clamping to the signal generator. If anybody knows a circuit(s) to do so, please be kind enough to help us. Thank you!

When you say "clipping" do you mean you want (say) a 4v rms sine wave clipped at +/- 3v?

And what do you mean by "clamping?"
