How to disconnect ribbon cable

I'm trying to remove 2 ribbon cables from a sony dat deck. I have posted a pic of the type of connector. I looked for a flap to fold back, but didn't see one.

It may not be removable.

Can you show an end view of the black block? There appear to be contacts, and the conductive tracks showing through the ribbon appear to have width, so it DOES look like a connector. It probably pulls straight out, make sure you mark the ribbon and board so it goes back in the right way round...
