Hello there, I am doing a project for which i want convert single pahse 440 V Ac into DC.
Is that possible with a rectifier circuit or i should try something else to get this?

What something else is there?

Normally you would use a bridge rectifier, this puts diodes in series to aid high voltage capability and keeps DC out of the supply.

That is a higher voltage than most of us work with. I would try to find a transformer to step that voltage down to something more safe to work with before rectifying it to dc. Be very carful.

Since you asked:
With your level of knowledge, that "something else" is:

Don't try it ,most probably you will hurt yourself or others !!!

What on earth do you want to rectify 440V ac for. Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Instant death if you grab hold of the result.

and with those very wise words

you obviously don't have the knowledge/experience to be working with high voltage
