how to convert analog output voltage (3V to 5V and 4.6V to 5V) to (0V to 5V)

Hi I just wanted to convert the output voltage of the circuit I have made to a wider range of 0V to 5V. I would need this output to be analog, so the output shouldnt be 0V OR 5V. I have two circuits, the first one's output range is 4.6V to 5V and the second has a range of 3V to 5V. How would you change those output to 0V to 5V?. Thanks a lot in advance.

I've to modify that circuit because the IR emitter is not connected to a microcontroller in my design, and the analog output is not connected to a microcontroller either. With this setup output is definitely analog but the range is 3V to 5V, but I need an analog output to be 0V to 5V. thanks for your reply

Hi maxima_diesel,

To map arbitrary signal range to something like 0-5V you can use a normalizing amplifier.
The procedure is explained on page 16-17 of the following document:

Both the offset and the gain can be adjusted.
