How to connect 40 or more LED to a single power source ? How to calculate this ?

I used the ledcalculator . I've got the schematic to build it .But is there any specification in the 12v source or any 12v adaptor will do job ?

It needs to supply 12V and the current needs to be at least that which your load will draw preferably more, to give it some safety margin)
