No 2: The voltage is, of course, 9V. The current you can draw from a typical 9V battery should be less than 500mA.
The typical capacity of a
9V block is around 500mAh. If you drain xmA of current, the battery will last approximately 500mAh/xmA. Note that the voltage will drop when the end of life is nearing (battery nearly drained).
Should you draw more than ~500mA from such a battery, you'll have to take into account the internal voltage drop of the battery which is due to the limited current generating capability of the battery's chemistry.
