I am making an open source 3D printer as a small college project for me, but I am having trouble because my motors are not working properly, either they just vibrate in place or they don't work at all.
I am using a Nema 17 motor with an A4998 stepper driver and an Aurdino Mega 2560. I thought it was the motor, so I googled how to find the correct Tx and Rx terminals, but now when I run the motor alone with an Arduino, power supply and stepper driver, it doesn't work at all.
How can I get my motor to work?
Also, the motor and most of the parts are made locally.
