How do I add specific sound to my project.

I am thinking of starting a project making a sentry turret from portal. I want to add sound that plays every 10 seconds or so. I thinking of buying a speaker but I don't know how to make the speaker play sound of the sound effects from the game. What component do I need to make the speaker play mp3 files.

An MP3 player. There are plenty of cheap boards out there, some of which are set up to control electronically rather than by pushbutton.

The MP3 Trigger from Robertsonics is easy to use and well documented. There's also a WAV model if you prefer.
