I agree. They should put the standard size and the actual size. Example: standard 2x4" x 8' - Actual 1 1/2 x 3 1/2" x 97"You only need 3... maybe 6 if your client base does not know how many inches in a foot...

They often cut lumber slightly longer than nominal size. So it could actually be 97 inches long.
Yes, HD is known to have terrible descriptions. I always bring a tape measure with me to be certain.
Actually HD should be congratulated for their ability to supply 'Artisan Lumber' at construction lumber prices. After all, Artisan's who create oddly shaped objects get a real time saver with HD lumber.... It's sold 'Pre - Warped'! I marvel at all those the graceful bows, cups and twists. The best part is they don't charge extra for it!!!
