You might have to contact the company for help or repair. I just took a look a the manual on-line, the only thing I see that might be a part of the problem is that the 'warm-up' display can be affected by problems with the weight on the platter during initialization. I'd take the platter off (if that's easy to do?) and make sure there's nothing interfering with the normal up/down motion of the platter during the weighing process. No debris under the platter that could be
interfering with it's range of motion.
